Weekly Roundup: April 29th – May 5th
Monday 29th: The U14 Boys faced off against St. Patrick’s in an away game at 7 pm. Spectators were treated to an impressive display of skill and growth as the young boys continue to develop their game.
Wednesday 1st: The U12 Girls travelled to play against Seán Dolans away at 7 pm, showcasing a strong performance that highlighted their teamwork and determination.
Thursday 2nd: The U16 Girls secured a significant victory against Moneymore in an away match at 7:45 pm, providing valuable experience and confidence for the team.
Also on Thursday, our senior reserves competed against Sean Dolans, with several players making their return to senior games after a number of years. The match marked some league and senior debuts, contributing to a positive start in the reserve league amidst ideal game conditions.
Friday: Our U9.5 Boys participated in Go Games hosted in Claudy, offering them crucial playing time and development opportunities.
Sunday: The U8 Girls hosted an exciting Go Games event, welcoming teams from Craigbane, Faughanvale, Foreglen, Sean Dolans, Steelstown, and Slaughtmanus. The event was a testament to grassroots development and community engagement in Gaelic games.
Notable Achievements:
Over the weekend, Eva Moran represented Derry in the U18 Ulster Championship final, showcasing top-tier talent and dedication.
Eden Faulkner also made her mark, participating in the U16 Ulster Championship final for Derry, highlighting the depth and quality of youth talent in our teams.
